Who we are
Hi, we’re Jamie and Rob, the family behind COAST E-Bike Rentals. For us, this beautiful part of Northland is home. Jamie grew up in the area and, after spending some time away, returned to the place she had always loved. Today, we live in Waipu with our two young children  and feel incredibly lucky to be raising our family here. We’ve always loved the outdoors and the laid-back coastal lifestyle that comes with living here. The beach is a big part of our family life, and some of our favourite days are the simple ones — getting outside with the kids, exploring, finding somewhere for a swim and enjoying everything we have right on our doorstep. And that’s really where the idea for COAST began.
 

Made for families, friends & adventures

As parents of two little ones ourselves, it was also really important to us that COAST was family-friendly.

We know that some of the best family memories aren't necessarily the ones that take months of planning. They're the days where you get outside together, have an adventure, stop for an ice cream, find a beautiful beach and come home tired and happy. That's the feeling we want COAST to be about.

Whether you're here on holiday, planning a family day out, looking for a fun date idea, getting some friends together or you're a local wanting to explore your own backyard, we want to help you experience this beautiful part of Northland in a completely different way.
 

More than an e-bike hire

For us, COAST is about much more than renting e-bikes. It's about sharing a place we genuinely love and helping people discover the trails, beaches, local businesses and special little spots that make this area what it is.

It's about slowing down, getting outside and enjoying the journey — not just the destination.

We feel incredibly lucky to call Waipu home, and we're pretty excited to now share a little piece of it with you.
